City Manager

The City of Aurora, Missouri, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to serve as its next City Manager. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic direction of the city, implementing policies set by the City Council, and managing all city departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the city and its services
- Develop and implement policies and programs to improve city operations and quality of life for residents
- Prepare and manage the city budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency
- Serve as the primary liaison between the City Council, residents, and other stakeholders
- Lead and motivate city staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree desired and any combination of education training and experience that would qualify for the position as determined by the City Council
- Master’s Degree desired in Management, Administration, or Business
- Advanced training in any area of expertise is required as part of being a City Manager
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in municipal management or a similar leadership role
